You are cordially invited to attend the 10th Annual Conference of the Russian Library Association, which will take place in Saint Petersburg, on May 23-28, 2005. It was announced "Library capital of Russia 2005".
St Petersburg is the second largest city of Russia and one of the most important scientific and industrial centers of the country. It is generally called the cultural capital of Russia - and the open-air museum of architecture.
The Conference is devoted to the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of the All-Russia Library Day and the 10th Anniversary of Russian Library Association.
The Conference is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Mass Media of Russian Federation, by the Federal Agency for Culture and Cinematography, by the St Petersburg City Government, by the Government of the Leningrad region, and also by the St Petersburg Library Society and by several Libraries of St Petersburg and Leningrad region.
The Motto of the Conference is "Libraries for science, education, enlightening and training"
Professional program of the 10th RLA Annual Conference includes the following subjects for presentation and discussion in the 35 sections, round tables and other events:
Sections and round tables will discuss their organizational and other questions in the 'Standing Committees' meetings. Sessions of 35 sections and round tables of RLA will be held in the St Petersburg Ice Palace.
Exhibition of the printed production, information technologies, also will take place there. It is organized by RLA and by the International Fair "Nevsky book forum". (www.bookforum.ru)
All Conference participants have an opportunity to make presentations of their companies and products during RLA section sessions and in the Exhibition booths. Duration of each presentation should be about 5-7 minutes. Presentation costs 30 EUR. Each company may have 3 presentations, which will be included in the Conference program.
Deadline for Conference Papers Papers and presentations should be announced before March 20th, 2005 The Organizing Committee asks for original and practice oriented papers, not and correspond to subject of conference and not published before/ Plenary and keynote papers - up to 25 minutes, in the sections and round tables meetings - up to 15 minutes, the communications - up to 7 minutes.

The hotel should be paid in advance before the 20th of April 2005.
By cancellation of the reservation up to this date the whole sum should be reimbursed. By cancellation in the later period or in the case of not-arrival at the fixed date the total sum will be reimbursed with the of one day prize deduct.
