Meeting on the 19th of may, 2004
Resume
Meeting on the 19th of may, 2004 took place in the Department of rare books and manuscripts of the State public scientific technical library of SD RAS. 32 specialists participated.
18 reports were made. The theme of the meeting was announced: "Safety and availability of funds of rare books and manuscripts".
At the end of the meeting following decisions were made:
1. Made a request for RLA's Council to:
confirm the appointment of Alekseev Vladimir Nikolaevich, head of the Department of rare books and manuscripts of the State public scientific technical library of SD RAS, candidate of philological sciences, honoured worker of culture of the Russian Federation, as co-chairman of the Section.
confirm the appointment of Pirogova Elena Pavlovna, head of the Department of rare books of the Provincial universal scientific library of Sverdlovsk, as member of the Permanent committee for till the May, 2006.
recommend Scientific library of the State university of Tomsk to become RLA's member and ask RLA's Council to confirm the appointment of Kolosova Galina Iosifovna, head of the DEpartment of manuscripts and book monuments of the Scientific library of the State university of Tomsk, as member of the Permanent committee.
2. Organize joint meeting with the Section on preservation and conservation and the Section on rare books and manuscripts on the X Annual session of the Conference of RLA in 2005.
3. Organize SEction's meeting on the International scientific conference "History in manuscripts - manuscripts in history" on the 14-16th of June, 2005.
4. Publish all the reports, which were made during the meeting, in the Collection of Section's works.
