27 . Section on "New generation of librarians"
Joint meeting of the Sections took place on the 19th of may, 2004 in the State public scientific technical library of SD RAS. 48 persons participated in it. 26 reports were made. According to the program, problems of high education, personnel resources, continued education, adaptation of young librarians in libraries were discussed. Role, plaied by the Section on personnel library resources and continued professional education in the development of new generation of state educational standards of high library education, improvement of the system of continued education in Russia, was pointed out.
Prospective directions of Section's development were defined.
New program "New generation of librarians" was represented.
Effectiveness of joint work of specialists, specializing in teaching young librarians, and young librarians themselves, was pointed out.
The desicion to publish materials of the Section in full size was made.
