Targets and aims:
Target: Permanent comprehensive improvement of service of libraries, servicing practical health protection, medical science, medical education and medical organizations.
Aims:
· Organization and coordination of systematical work, intented to study the needs of medical sphere in library informational service, development and application to prectice of the most effective forms and methods;
· Development of strategy and tactics of library and informational servicing Russian health protection;
· Coordination of work of medical libraries of the country;
· Help in development of the foreign relations;
· Developing close relations with specialists in the medical sphere with the aim of optimization of library informational service;
· Help in propaganda of modern scientific technology and their application to practice;
· Help in propaganda of experience of medical libraries and in exchange of the experience;
· Gradual creation (as far as financial opportunities appear) of the system of raising of the level of librarians' skills and continued education.
