HOW TO ENTER RLA
Russian library associationis All-Russian non-commercial voluntary, self-governing union of libraries, associations of libraries and other organizations, which are professionally connected with the sphere of activity of libraries, or contribute to it's development.
RLA is coordinative organ which does not restrict rights of it's members and isn't responsible for their engagements.
RLA's target is to joint the efforts of libraries, support and coordinate their activities, in the interests of development of libraries in Russia.
For reaching these targets RLA carries out it's work in following directions:
Library policy and ligislation
Scientific and practical activities
Social protection of employees of libraries, bibliographycal and
scientific informational organizations
Protection of rights of libraries' clients
International relations
Cultural and educational activities
Establishing funds for helping libraries and librarians
Economic activities
Publishing and polygraphical activities
RLA's members: Juridical persons, who straight realize RLA's targets; libraries, public library organizations, bibliographical and informational organizations; educational establishments, which prepare specialists in this sphere, and also all the organizations (exept political parties) which include libraries or contribute to their development.
Acceptance to RLA, is carried out by the Council on the ground of written request with the following drawing up a report and approving it on the Conference of RLA.
Sections and round tables,, joining their members on the ground of professional interests, work in RLA.
