• Tomsk museum of political history of 20th century
The museum exhibits materials about tragic fate of people who passed all “circles of hell” in the prison camps of GULAG. In the permanent exhibition one can see corridor of investigatory prison of NKVD, prison cell, memorial room of poet N. Kliuev, who was executed in Tomsk in 1937, and memorial room of philosopher G.Shpet, who also was killed in Tomsk in 1937.

• Regional Museum of Local History
The first exhibition was opened in 1922. Today the collections of the Museum include 400 thousand pieces. Departments of the collection are as follows: numismatics, archeology, painting, written documents, furniture etc.

• Regional Arts Museum
The museum was opened in 1982. The collection consists of 6000 pieces, drawings, paintings, pieces of applied art, about 200 icons, copper casting pieces for church services, sculpture, and collection of glasses. Among the paintings there are works of Surikov, Kontchalovskii, Shishkin, Vastnetsov, Aivazovskii, Serov and Rerikh. The works of West European, Ancient Russian and Russian art are represented.

• Zoological museum of Tomsk State University
The Museum collections contain stuffed birds and mammals including those which already had disappeared from wild nature, and those which are about to disappear.

• Museum of Archeology and ethnography of Siberia
The collections contain 300 thousand pieces of archeology, ethnography and history of Siberia and neighboring territories of Eurasia and North America. The exhibitions reflect everyday life of Siberian nations.

• Mineralogical Museum of Tomsk State University
Collections contain gold ore samples from Altai, nepheline and multimetallic ore samples form deposits of Altai iron ore and cobalt form Sayan Mountains region. More than 100000 pieces.

• Paleontological museum of the Tomsk University
Collection includes more then 15000 pieces. The remains of mammoths are exhibited. Large exhibition of sculls, teeth, and vertebrae of ancient animals is represented. Among the pieces there are impresses of ancient fishes and algae. The tour over the museum is a real time travel in the remote past of Siberia.

This is the first Botanic garden in Asiatic part of Russia. It is natural
reservation of national level. It was founded in 1880.
